Day 1: Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and transfer to hotel. The
tour manager will give pre-tour briefing. Rest of the day is leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu
Morning sightseeing tour of Kathmandu covering Pashupatinath temple-
the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to lord
Shiva, built in 1696. We carry on the sightseeing tour of the Patan-
A city of architecture and fine arts. Sometimes known as "Town
with a Thousand Golden Roofs". Visit Tibetan Handicraft center
at Jawalakhel to watch carpet weaving.
Early evening take a sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath- the oldest
Buddhist shrine. Looking east from here, one can see the entire
Kathmandu valley spread out below. A short drive will take you to
Boudhnath- the worlds largest Stupa; a sight of great generation
to the Buddhist. We continue to Kathmandu durbar square - the temple
of the Living Goddess and the old Royal Palace. Finally, visit Kathmandu
- a temple built from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives
its name. Overnight at the hotel
Day 3: Kathmandu-Rafting-Gorkha
Early morning breakfast served and take 2 hours of drive to the
raft put in point. White water rafting in Trishuli river- over crashing
waves and swirling rapids for the excitement of a life time. After
lunch, drive to ( 2 ½ hour drive) . Gorkha- the ancestral
home of the Shah dynasty which rules Nepal today. It is from here
that King Prithibi Narayan Shah started his conquest of the country's
various tiny kingdoms and unified them into a single nation, Nepal.
Gorkha bazaar, the palace dominates the surroundings and is visible
from all around the area. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4:Gorkha-Pokhara
Leaving behind the tranquil Gorkha, it is about 3 hours of drive
to Pokhara- one of the most picturesque valley in Nepal, 125 miles
west of Kathmandu and under the shadow of the Annapurna range. A
rare combination of snow-clad mountains, crystal clear lakes, streams,
villages inhabitated by friendly ethnic tribes. Overnight at hotel
in Pokhara.
Day 5:Pokhara
Full day sight-seeing of Phewa lake- the second biggest lake in
Nepal. On an island in the middle of the lake is a shrine for Goddess
Barahi. Seti river - with breathtaking rush and the bridge over
it. Patale Chhango( Hell's fall) known as Devi's fall and Mahendra
cave- a large limestone cave full of stalactites makes a good destination
for about 2 kl. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Pokhara-Kathmandu
Morning board the flight to Kathmandu, enjoying the mountain scenery
and take enough time to go for shopping in Kathmandu or take a drive
of approx 6 hours back to Kathmandu. Evening dinner followed by
Nepali cultural program. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Kathmandu - Back Home
Breakfast then final departure transfer
