Day 01: Delhi
Arrive Delhi meet & transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel
Day 02: Delhi
After breakfast visit Old Delhi - visiting the Red Fort, the Jama
Masjid, Chandni Chowk (Silver Street) and Raj Ghat - the site of
Mahatma Gandhi's cremation. In the afternoon, proceed to visit New
Delhi - drive past the stately government buildings of the British
Era designed by Lutyens, including the India Gate & the Presidential
Palace. Continue onto the beautiful Humayun's Tomb of the Mughal
era & predecessor of the world famous Taj Mahal, towering minaret
of Qutab Minar - the 72.5m-high-tower dates back to the 13th century
and is one of the greatest bequests of Islamic culture. Thereafter,
visit the Bahai Temple (as known as Lotus Temple) - situated
atop the Kalkaji hill, this distinctive lotus shaped marvel in marble,
surrounded by a landscaped garden, has been dubbed ' The Taj Mahal
of the 21st Century. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Delhi - Manali (By air)
Early morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Kullu. Arrive
Manali meet & transfer to hotel Manali (1 ½ hrs
approx.) Morning at leisure for acclimatization. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Manali
Morning proceed for the sightseeing of Manali visiting Hadimba Devi
Temple, Hotwater Springs of Vashisht Kund, Tibetan Monasteries &
Market. Evening visit Solang Valley & Rahla Falls known as snow
points of Manali. Overnight at hotel
Day 05: Drive from Manali to Jispa -145km
Drive along Beas river upstream ascending to its source a t Rohtang
Pass (3980mtrs), offers you beautiful view of surrounding mountains
& Lush green meadows towards Kullu Valley & Snow Clad mountain
of C.B. Range of Himalayas Stark, rocky & hanging Glaciers of
Lahaul Valley. You Drive along Chandra River to Tandi (8kms) before
Keylong to Keylong. Visit Kardang Gompa.
Day 06: Drive to Jugtakh over Baralacha La Pass (4650mtrs)
After breakfast drive to Takh via Baralacha Pass & Lachlung
la Pass (5065M). The word Baralacha means a pass with crossroads.
The pass has roads coming from Zanskar, Ladakh, Spiti and Lahaul.
Stop for a break at Suraj Tal (4800m), a serene lake and source
of river Bhaga. Packed lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 07: Trek to Nulla Camp
Now you are in the Ladakh Region and walk along the Lingti Tsarap
Chu River. Overnight at camp
Day 08: Trek to Tsok Mesik
Trek to the Base of Morang La Pass along the right bank of Tsarap
Chu On the way you can the view of Phirtse La of Padum valley. Overnight
at Camp.
Day 09: Over Morang la (5300m) to Dhak Tao
It is a steep climbing day from the top of the Morang La you can
see the view of beautiful peaks of Zanskar Range
Day 10: Yabuk
Now your enter in the Shan Valley. Walk along right bank of Zara
chu river to Yabuk Village.
Day 11: Lungmo Che
The trail soon splits to the left side of the river. Arrive at a
large valley with Zara Chu River, it is a good camping site.
Day 12: Dat
Now you are in the Rupshu valley. Cross the Yar-La Pass (5000M)
to the Dat village.
Day 13: Tsorra
After passing through several Manes and Chortens, crossing two rivers
Dat Chu & Sorra Chu, you will reach at the camp site of Tsorra.
Day 14: Zalung Karpo La (5150m) - Tamachan
Turn right to the valley floor, cross Zalung Karpo La (5200M) &
after ups & down continue your trek towards the left hand valley.
After crossing a morainic wall & a large stream you will reach
at campsite of Tamchan.
Day 15: Nimaling
The trail continues to climb up and soon start heading off to the
south-east, away from the main valley. Follow a small stream until
it start heading around to the south. The trail then leaves it and
zigzags back on itself as it gains height.
Day 16: Over Kongmaru La (5100mtrs) to Chogdo
The pass lies on the east The pass lies on the east side of the
valley opposite Kang Yaze. Theres usually a simple bridge
across the Nimaling chu which is replaced annually by the shepherds.
Soon a saddle in the ridge ahead comes into Views; this is the Kongmaru
La. Descent until Chogdo the descent is particularly difficult for
pack animals and very tiring for humans. Over night camp at Chogdo.
Day 17: Trek to Hemis (5-6hrs) & Drive to Leh 2 hrs
There is an entry point to the Hemis national Park here and if it
is staffed, which are rare, you may be asked to pay a small entrance
fee. Visit to Hemis Gompa and then drive to Leh.
Day 18: Leh
Full Day Sightseeing tour of Likir, Alchi & Ridzong Gompas
Day 19: Leh - Delhi
Early morning transfer to airport to connect flight for Delhi. Arrive
Delhi meet & transfer to hotel.
Late in the evening, transfer to International airport. Assistance
for check in formalities.
Day 20 Delhi - Back Home
In time transfer to airport to board the flight back home.
