Initiation programme that in little time will make you discover the multiple colours of North India from the Havelis of Shekhawati to the palaces of Maharajahs of Jaipur, from the typical Indian fauna of Ranthambhore, to the most romantic monument of the world, the Taj Mahal. It allows a very good approach to the vast continent. |

Day 1- Arrive Delhi from Home |
Arrive Delhi and meet ITS representative at the arrival hall, transfer to hotel where we will be holding rooms on ready occupancy basis. Relax and overnight in Delhi. |
Day 2- Delhi sight seeing tour |
After breakfast take a sight seeing tour of the capital city. The important places in Old Delhi includes the majestic Red Fort, the historical Chandni Chowk, besides Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana. In New Delhi includes the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war; the Laxminarayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India’s leading industrial families; Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; and the lotus-shaped Bahai Temple. Evening free to relax or individual activities, overnight at the hotel. |
Day 3- DELHI / MANDAWA (250 Km) |
In the morning we drive to Shekhavati also called the “ open air art gallery of Rajasthan. The region known for it’s splendid painted "Havelis" or merchant’s mansions decorated with superb mural frescos. Arrive and proceed to the hotel. In the afternoon visit of the Shekhawati to see different Havelis with fascinating murals each better than the other, built by the wealthy Rajasthani merchants ("Marwaris") in the 19th Century. |
Day 4- MANDAWA / JAIPUR (170 Km) |
In the morning visit of the Havelis in the neighbouring villages before departing for the Pink City- Jaipur. Enroute visit the old caravan city of Samode, locked up in its walls and dominated by the castle. Visit the Palace, the Sheesh Mahal- the hall of mirrors. After Lunch depart for Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan also called the Pink City. Steeped in history and culture, this city is known for its magnificent Palaces and forts; broad avenues and spacious gardens. Jaipur, with its romantic charm takes you to an epoch of royalty and tradition. Arrive and proceed to the hotel. Evening a panoramic city tour of JAIPUR. Thereafter have a joyful rickshaw ride in this quaint city. Overnight. |
Day 5- JAIPUR |
Morning excursion to Amber Fort, the ancient capital of the Rajput Empire rulers perched atop the hill overlooking the lake. Ascend to this hilltop fort in Maharajah style… by decorated Elephant. Visit the beautiful complex of palaces including inlaid mirror palace, halls, pavilions, gardens and the famous Kali temple. In the Afternoon, city tour of JAIPUR, visiting the City Palace- the Royal residence of Maharaja built in Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, Hawa Mahal" the Palace of Wind & the Observatory of the 18th century. Later in the evening have a Walk in the bustling bazaars of Jaipur, well known for their beautiful carpets, enameled ornaments, precious and semi-precious stones, brass ornaments and many other arts and crafts. Day 6- JAIPUR / RANTHAMBORE (114 Km) |
In the morning leave for Ranthambore - Rajasthan's most renowned wildlife sanctuary, it is 400 sq. kms of dry deciduous forest, perfect natural habitat for tigers, set in the Aravalli and Vindhya hills, dotted with pavilions and dominated by a hilltop fort. Afternoon visit the park for Game viewing includes the antelopes, spotted-deers, wild boars, monkeys, crocodile and with bit of luck the majestic Bengal Tiger. Overnight. |
Day 7- RANTHAMBORE / KARAULI |
Morning visit the park again to see and appreciate its rich wild life. Return to hotel and depart for Karauli - A remote ancient, devotional city with a wealth of history a serene rural environment. Visit its magnificent temples Madan Mohanji, Kalyanji and fabulous old City Palace, a treasure trove of architecture, stone carvings, gorgeous jalli work and classic paintings. Overnight at Bhanwar Vilas Palace. |
Day 8- KARAULI / FATEHPUR SIKRI / AGRA |
In the morning we begin our Journey towards Agra, the old imperial capital of India. Enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri, the ancient capital of the Mughal Empire for 14 years before it was abandoned. This city built in 1569 has some splendid Palaces – with an excellent blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Thereafter continue towards Agra. Arrive Agra late in the afternoon and proceed to the hotel for overnight. |
Day 9- Agra |
In the morning visit the world famous Taj Mahal, who eternal beauty will astonish and mesmerize the you. The Taj Mahal was built by the Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal who died in 1631.Return to Hotel. Afternoon, visit of the Grand Agra Fort where lived three Mughals Emperors. This fort rises on the edges of Yamuna. |
Day 10- AGRA / DELHI |
In the morning proceed towards Delhi. Enroute stop at Sikandra and visit the mausoleum of Agra. Continue for Delhi. Arrive Delhi and installation at Hotel. Afternoon is free for independent activities or the last purchases. Overnight. |
Day 11- DEPART DELHI |
Depart for airport to take flight to your destination. |
