Days 1:Kathmandu
Arrive Kathmandu. Meet at the airport and transfer to hotel. The
tour manager will give pre-tour briefing. Rest of the day is leisure.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Kathmandu - Hattiban
An hour drive to Dakshinkali- a temple dedicated to goddess Kali
"The Terrifying" who requires sacrifices once a week .
Pilgrims on every Tuesday and Saturday congregate to the temple
which is surrounded by lush green forest of trees that are several
hundred years old. Drive back to Hattiban resort away from the crowd
. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3: Hattiban - Kathmandu
Morning drive to Kirtipur - a historical Newari farmer's town. One
can observe their living, customs, old houses and shrines and temples.
Early evening visit Patan City - A city of architecture and fine
arts. Sometimes known as "Town with a thousand of Golden roofs".
Visit Tibetan handicraft center at Jawalakhel to watch carpet weaving.
Proceed for Swayambhunath- the oldest Buddhist shrines. Looking
east from here, one can see the entire Kathmandu valley spread out
below. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Kathmandu - Nagarkot
Morning proceed for sightseeing tour of Boudhnath- the worlds largest
stupa. It is a sight of great generation to the Buddhist. Pashupatinath
Temple- the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated
to lord Shiva, built in 1696. Bhaktapur City- Kathmandu valley's
most medieval city also known as Bhadgaon and was one of the three
kingdoms of Mallas. It is famous for Lion gate, the picture Gallery,
the Golden gate and palace of 55 windows. Finally proceed for Nagarkot-
east of Kathmandu, situated at an altitude of 2175 m above sea level.
The panorama of the major peaks of the eastern Nepal Himalayas,
including mount Everest can be seen from here. The best location
for sunset & sunrise. Overnight at Hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 5: Nagarkot - Kathmandu
After breakfast drive down to Changu Narayan- situated at the end
of a long ridge which runs well into the valley, it is said to have
been built in 323 AD and said to be the oldest temple in the valley.
Drive back to Kathmandu and rest until lunch time and again continue
sightseeing tour of Kathmandu durbar square- the temple of the Living
Goddess and the old Royal Palace. Finally , visit Kathmandu - a
temple built from a single tree from which the city of Kathmandu
derives its name. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6: Kathmandu
First hour is reserve for spectacular mountain flight over the Himalayan
range including Mount Everest. Upon completion (Mountain flight
cost of US $ 111.00 is not included in this package) of this spellbinding
hour long flight, we straight away continue the sight-seeing tour
of Budhanilakantha- the statue of Lord Vishnu lying on the cosmic
water before the universe was created. Afternoon free for shopping
or to go around on your own. Evening dinner followed by Nepali cultural
program. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7: Kathmandu - Back home
Breakfast then final departure transfer to airport to board the
flight back home.
